Paul, think the cows have holiday as well (lol). I said it before: by taking cows (or anything else) as subjects in this scene, you've created a wonderful composition. Think that else this image would be, to a certain extend, dull. Thanks for sharing this with us. Regards, Cornelius

There really ARE cows there! You had me fooled. You are so good, I thought that maybe you were just putting them into the photos! lol The laugh is on me! Such lucky cows and such beautiful ones too. What a terrific place to be raised and they look so content. Thanks for these wonderful shots!
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

That I understand, some lazy time, lol.... What an idyllic capture. Paul, how did you manage to come up so close, the cows seem undisturbed and the central one looks as if it were posing right for you? Great photo.
What a great shot - and of COWS - who'd a thought luxuriating bovines could create such a serene and beautiful picture. You could make a mint with your very own cow calendar.
Ode to the cow. That vista sure beats the view his poor relatives in Kansas have. I love the cow. It knows its job and it does it well. I'm certain they are sorry for all the butane; it is just part of the job they do.
Now those are what we would call "contented cows"...so lazy, and look at this ones face...so serious and almost regal..hehe..I love this photo a lot..the contrast from the cows and the background mountains is fantastic. V
A great shot. The clarity is almost super natural. Did you use fill flash as well? The subjects and the perspective are first class as well. A picture I can easily look at for a long time. Superb!
