The inscription on the only house facing the Oeschinensee lake reads: "here in the beautifull alps, we have built our home. God protects this house and the land of our fathers from envy and foe with strong hand." Well, I did feel some envy at first, but when I learnt there was no internet available I lost that feeling and made this quick snapshot.

Paul, you're not only great photographer but a comedian, too! Thanks for the image, and for the chuckle as well.

Paul, think Greg is right with his above comment. Although there's probably a lack of, for us common things, think the people there live still in peace and harmony. A reason to feel still some envy? Thanks for this beautiful image. Regards, Cornelius

Gorgeous home, but maybe it's just a vacation home and you sure don't need internet on your vacation, do you?

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
