Hotel on the dunes in Bergen Aan Zee (freely translated that would read: Mountains by the Sea). From this hotel you can walk right onto the beach and it can be seen from miles away when walking along the shoreline. So if you ever want to come to Holland and enjoy the beach...

I wouldn't have even known this was by the sea had you not told us. It looks like it could be a hotel in Kansas, Texas or a number of other states in USA. Could be prairie grasses. This is great photo and angle. Love the colors or the lack of colors, whichever. Nice scene and I would love to visit there.

Tick.

Boy, that sky is intense without being night time! The fence looks like it could have been from Cape Cod in Massachusetts. My husband just said that this image reminds him of works by the American painters, the Wyeth family.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I like the fence line as it brings the whole photo together. Nice dark background.

Maybe my eyes are a little tired, Paul, but it seems that this photo is not as sharp as usual.
I would like to sleep there, under a typical holland thunder... ;-)

Pierre you are invited!
There happen to be some nice restaurants opposite of the hotel as well.
And concerning the sharpnes: I liked it this way, more dream like.

Wow, this looks like some of the beaches here in ORegon. We have many of those little places and the fence too.I love that look. It's truly "beachey."...but, yes, just a tad bit blurry. V
