Just saw this in the VB and had to comment. I have never seen such a good close up shot like this of a chicken. Your bird photos are great, love viewing them. Oh, and I gave this a high score...

Pow! This jumps off the screen and tries to peck you. I wonder how far away you were when you took the shot...long lens? The bright sun would give you a quick exposure but chickens aren't known to hold still.
