Steam locomotive at the Million Line in Limburg. It was named that way, because of the very high costs it took to built it. It came into service in 1934 and was 12,5 kilometers long. It cost a million Dutch Guilders per kilometer, which was at the time incredibly expensive. And the worst thing was that the train company calculated in the very first year that it could not make any profit by transporting people. So it was used for transporting coal and other goods for a long time to come. Nowadays it is a privately owned train and it is run by 200 volunteers. Every year about 100.000 people buy a ticket for the steam train and have a great time enjoying the beautiful scenery in Limburg - Holland.
This shot really shows the Teeth of the Engine.
