In the front: The Valère castle in Sion (Wallis, Switzerland) features the Notre-Dame-de-Valère church from the 12th century. The church is very special as it has like a chapel inside it which is fenced of by a half-open wall. The big body of the church is from a later date. The organ is from 1435 and was extended in 1687 and is apparently the world’s oldest organ still functioning. In the back: the Ober Gabelhorn (4,053 m) is a mountain in the Pennine Alps in Switzerland.

Oh dat is leuk, ik been een paar maal langs Sion gereden, op doorreis door Wallis maar heb de burcht nog niet van zo dichtbij gezien. De bergen er achter komen mooi dramatisch over zo.

A wonderful shot, Paul! What a setting for a castle, like out of a storybook.

Okay Paul, I have to believe your narrative else I couldn't believe it's a manipulation. Excellent work in all ways!

Your showing us some great places Paul
When you visit Germany I hope you'll get round to showing us the Counts Castle .. er Baron Von Frankenstein that is. I understand he had some trouble with the locals who burnt the joint down. :o( but hey I love ruins too.

I love the way the castle echoes the skyline of the mountains. Great work. I'm still trying to see any sign of manipulation. Simply can't.

If its real... I want to live there. You can look at this picture and feel history looking back at you. An ancient castle built in timeless mountains.
