Love the lines, the shadows, the sense of walking up the pier...the viewers eye is drawn to the fisherman at the and. The wood looks well worn and used :)
Good color, great clarity, spot on composition and your usual high quality Paul. Wish I were there :)
To my favorites this goes.
Many thanks for sharing this with me :=)

Marvelous shot with the worn wood of the pier and the rusted hand rails. Good clearness and well shown shadows - the man fishing is the 'icing on the cake'. Paul, bet the man fishing would love a copy of this work : ^ >

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images :)

I agree with Mimi! This is a wonderful image!

All I can add is that it reminds me of a Dutch song
Als ze me missen...

When you're through with life and all hope is lost. Hold out your hand 'cos friends will be friends - right till the end.

I love this perspective. And this shot is even more interesting due to those uneven shadows. An image like this gives you time to focus and think.

Great perspective...the so tiny fisherman before the vast sea!

Like how the bridge dominates, as if to say, "Hey, bub, you wouldn't be here without me."
