Amazing clarity with such good detail Paul. There is a bit of a glare in the upper left that tends to draw the viewers eye away from the focused shoes.
I love the lighting as well. The gradient from light to shadows is rather cool. The color of the wood is beautiful~~
Do the Dutch women still wear these? Are they hand carved? I presume the name comes from the sound they make as one walks in them :)
What an unusual and rare sight! Into my favorites these shoes go 'clomping'.
Many thanks for sharing this with me :=)

Wow these are so pretty, it looks a though a lot of work has gone into them. I had a pair of clogs ones sent by a dutch friend, they are so very comfortable.

Love all the wooden shoes Paul. They sure don't look easy on the feet. They sure are beautifully carved. Great capture with such detail.

The lighting is the first thing I notice in a painting or a photograph and that is what I notice here. It is a nicely angled light. The second thing I notice is the wonderful carving that is done on these wonderful shoes! A unique DT and a keeper for my files.

A warm feel to a straightforward capture of an icon. Simple, but still with thought to the composition. Nice work Paul.
