I'm always amazed when something so fragile either grows singly from nothing or in huge healthy colonies. Mushrooms are facinating, they lay dormant for months or years then pop up overnight. This one's a nice fall image as well

Capturing shrooms is actually not so simple, because you need a very high F number to have control over the focus and then the shutter time becomes so slow that you have stablise your camera. Or you need a very steady hand, like I have....

WOW Paul, this capture sure is amazing. Fabulous colours, detail and texture. There sure alot of them. I've never seen so many different kinds around here. Looks like they are jumping out of the screen at you.
