What a face... so pensive and studying... and exceptionally well-focused. I particularly like the cropping with the out-of-focus doppleganger in the background, almost like a mirror image. I get the sense the owl in the rear is watching the one in front rather than the viewer, waiting for it's cue to come forward and come into focus, as though it's safely hiding as long as we can't clearly see it. Perfect positioning, Paul. I'm saving this one for a good friend who loves birds on her computer wallpaper. And for me as well. Thanks for the submission.
Oh..Such a superb closeup of this beautiful owl!! Excellent in colour and details. I feel that I can reach out and touch his soft beautifully coloured feathers! I also love the dof you achieved with the owl in the background ...like a mirror image! It just doesn't get any better than this! Thank you for sharing your talents with us :) Saved & faved.
What another truly outstanding photo your talent is getting better with each photo.
The out off focus bird realy makes this picture and the detail in the lead bird spot on.

Fav'd instantly! This is wonderful - a truly brilliant capture of this incredible bird. I love the faded owl in the back ground too and the clarity of the one in the foreground. Well done and thanks for sharing!
