Very nice sharp photo and great detail. The darker back ground sure does make this bird stand out. Well done.

In Louisiana we called them Egrets, in Oregon they are Herons, so I'm not sure if it's the same bird or not. I love how clear the leaves are in this photo. Like I could reach out and touch them. Of course this wonderful Heron is just gorgeous. He stands so elegantly, and you captured him perfectly. I have really enjoyed your postings my dear friend...thank you. Verena

A fine looking Great Egret image Paul. A beautiful well detailed capture. Nice work. The Great White Heron could be confused with Great Egret but is larger, with yellow legs as opposed to the Great Egret's black legs. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful picture Paul ... The details are picture prefect ... I'm going to need to take a closer look at the Egret / White Herons I see around here (In Miami) ... I'm not sure what colors their legs are ...
