This is a stunning looking photo, love the sun light coming through the trees and the gorgeous colours.Plus it great how you have the old tree at the fount and a V effect running to the back of the shot. Also it nice how the shadows run off the tree, well done.

Fantastic image and love the way the sun rays are beaming through the branches of that wonderful old tree. Now that's a lot of leaves to rake. Right into my favs Paul

Your photo here, Paul ... brought to mind another.

That of Pierre's; aka ppigeon "The Old King".

Happen to have a soft spot for these natural air purifiers.

Exceptional control on the exposure. Details abound in the 'shadows', as well as, in the 'highlights'.

Thank you for sharing this one with us.

This viewer appreciates your fine work behind the lens. :o)

I too have a soft spot for the old giants. Beautifully composed. I love the lighting and details gracing the surrounding forest. Saved.

A magnificent looking old tree, definitely would not want it falling on me. An interesting composition and view of this forest scene. Good colours and lighting in the scene.

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. Henri Cartier-Bresson

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.
