I don't see any engineers feet Paul:) Oh, feat, I get it:) I love this place. I can remember as a kid going down into the dam and walking out on the decks below at the down river side-for a lack of a better (real) name and looking up at the downstream view. It was so cool although there were millions of gnats, well at least then there were. A very nice shot buddy:)
Truly a cool shot from an engineering standpoint--a great mix of organic and inorganic. However, I'm just as stunned by the low water level. I've heard that Lake Meade is down quite a ways and they are hoping the large snow pack in the mountains will melt and replenish it. Too bad we here along the Missouri River can't send some water there. Our spillway gates at Garrison Dam in ND are open nearly 2 feet and the lake is 1 inch from going over the top of them (the gates; not the dam). Another great shot, Paul. That reconfigured camera of yours does wonders.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Very sharp and I like how you can see all the towers in the background overlooking the hills. It really relays the concept of the power being drawn from here.
Wow a stunning looking photo and one very interesting photo my friend.Love the sharp focus and all the detail in this photo and the colours in the water is stunning.Plus the is a beautiful light right across the photography too.
