Stunning looking photo with lovely sharp detail, and I love the colours that you captured in this bird.The background with the split colours give a lovely effect to this shot too.I also love the soft look to the birds wing feathers in this photo as well.

The clarity of your photos never ceases to take me by surprise. I've come to expect it but it still makes me stop and mumble "Holy &$%%#." Looking close at this bird I see the separations of feather strands are so well defined that a close cropped macro of the green feathers on his shoulder could almost be a piece of abstract art. I have to wonder how it would have done in the "I Love Green" contest.
A fellow staffer just came in as I was typing this comment and I showed the enlargement of your shot to him. It took about 20 seconds before he could say anything (and this guy's tongue is normally hung in the middle so it can run on both ends!).
