A little game: one is a fake and both are one, but which one?

Gorgeous birds! Love the composition and colors of these beautiful raptors. I can't wait for an explanation to the riddle!

I think.. I got.. it..

But.. your category of placement for your gorgeous shot here (it truly looks 3D) is throwing me off the trail of my thoughts (should technically be placed in Photography -> Manipulation?).

However.. here's my guess;

Two shots of the same bird from either the same perspective.. and the bird alighted on another part of the stump.

Or.. and I don't put this possibility beyond your editing/post processing skills..

Same shot.. merged.. with the bird seemingly.. in different places/poses.. you worked some literal magic.

That said..

Beautiful.

And if I may ask.. which camera did you use for this one, Paul? Just curious.

Thanks for the fun game and most certainly.. thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)

Just a guess, but I think the bird on the right is a clone. Same bird, two different poses. I am probably wrong, but what the hay...uneducated guesses are my specialty. Great looking shot, Paul.

They look like Sharp-Shinned Hawks and both are majestic birds even though one is "fake." I find birds of prey to be one of the greatest creatures on earth - love all the raptors!!! Paul your shot of the two hawks is simply spectacular - I'm going to have to save and fave. Excellent work my friend.

It is a beautiful photo Paul and enjoyable to view.

If I had to make a guess it would be: The hawk on the right is natural. Its head has been removed, flipped and added to the hawk on the left. It might in fact be the same bird in a different pose. The two shots were then blended to make one shot.

Whatever you did, you did it flawlessly.

Love this photo and if you had not said what you said I would not have know as the detail in both of the birds is one hundred percent the feathers are stunning along with the colours in these stunning birds if pray .

The one on the left; his left foot's talons are not grasping the stump naturally. Nice, clear photo as always, Paul.

Well, I think it's the one on the right, but the more I look at it, could be the same bird just added to this image.

Remarkable capture of this bird. As to being fake I would say the bird is one in the same bird with a different pose. The bird on the left with the stump appears to have some tell-tale noise in spots around the stump where you might have joined the two birds such as in the seemingly middle of the stump where a twig resides. I could be wrong and it would take some real keen inspection to tell. A little noise at the top of the stump with bird on left. Very good image...a very good manipulation Paul.

I am guessing that the one on the left is real. Very good image
