This picture was taken in my hometown. This is Firestone Park, Coumbiana, Ohio. Columbiana is the birthplace of Harvey S. Firestone the founder of Firestone tires. I worked in this park, along with many other adventures, as a kid. To see a Great Blue Heron in the middle of our duck pond is a real treat. Thanks in advance for any and all comments. 10/13/2010 - It was suggested some changes to help this photo. If you're interested please go to Great Blue at Sunrise - Rework and check it out. Any critical feedback is appreciated.

What a great shot. The clarity and coloring are perfect. Great find.

Much better my friend. I hate to give feedback like the last time but otherwise how will we learn. I do it with friendship. The colors are so good and so is the clarity. This version is much better than the first.

Very nicely done. A good capture of this beautiful heron. Nice lighting and reflection in your scene.

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. Henri Cartier-Bresson

The only problem I see here is the c-index is about 30 points too low.

This is a nice capture, but I think that the composition is perfectible.
The upper corner at right is dark and without interest. Maybe you could crop the right near the beginning of the little island and crop a little above and below the image to maintain the ratio.
The light setting is excellent on my screen.
That's my critic for the week! ;-)
