Another great capture, Tom. I like how smooooooooooooooooooooooth those clouds are...ahem! The lightning streaks are placed just right in this composition. Your timing was superb. I particularly like the explosive atmosphere given off by the lightning bolt at the top. A keeper, that's for sure. Pat

The 'Forked Lightning' shot was taken with my 'old' Fujifilm S5000 Z. I have since bought a Fujifilm S5100 (AKA: S5500) that I use now. They are both great affordable intermediate cameras for someone that is ready to move beyond a simple 'point and shoot' pocket camera.

Hey, what were you doing outside at that time. Watch it kiddo. Too close for comfort? However, I sure am glad you took this picture. Sensational drama.

Oh wow, a must see in full screen. Excellent clarity! It's neat how the lightning goes in the cloud as one and out at two.

This one's the best lightning shot I've ever seen. And that really bites because I've been chasing this stuff for years. The color, positioning, the cloud formation and its reflection on the water are all perfect. If I was voting instead of just poking around I would give it a ten

Wonderful shot, two thumbs up. I really love how the fork is blocked by the cloud. The color is amazing, and it has a really great glow. Beautiful.
