Wow! You are extremely lucky. I'd give everything to be able to take some shots of a live launch... not to mention capturing it from my front yard! ;)

Excellent image... especially considering the speed the shuttle travels at! ;)

I don't think I could have seen it on TV and faster. Excellent shot.

I used my Fujifilm S5100 with 10x optical zoom, using a UV filter and a polarized filter.

I knew you lived close to that area but my word, what did they do, launch from your front yard? Next time this happens, you are to invite all Caedes members that can make it, over to your place for a party. We will have a grand "LAUNCH. )Thorry, couldn't resist).

Great shot, and I've heard they're spectacular to watch. Pretty expen$ive for a bottle rocket though - huh?

It's a bird! it's a plane! It's… a space shuttle? blah… that doesn't have the same pizzazz!

Is that how Sir Skelleyton got lit on fire like that? 8•P

Awesome man. I watched it on the tube just wishing that I were there. You are one lucky fella. Great capture. I was kinda glad that it was postponed until the 4th. Good day to launch.

I wondered if you'd finally get out there and get a shot! You're closer than I thought, maybe three or four miles
