We have not really gotten any snow here (but it is 23 degrees F today). This is another one I took back in January 2011. I had spent the very early morning in Central Park walking around in the freshly fallen snow, in some places it was almost waist deep! This is a challenging image to capture because there is almost always people here.

At first I thought "Uh oh, somebody did another mirror image," but nope, this is a nicely composed full pano and a very unique and intriguing shot. The trees are anthropomorphized by the lack of leaves and the presence of the snow, highlighting the branches and making them appear as arms. Those in the center look as though they were reaching out to each other across the road. I half expect to hear them start growling and throwing brown and wrinkled apples at us [see Wizard of Oz].

I like it very much. Has a wonderful solitary mood. Must have felt surreal to be there with so few humans around. Lighting and details are a pleasure to see. Something about he bare branches in snow that add an element of mood in the snow. I can't see much to improve, I enjoy it as it is. I might crop some off the left just to see how it looked, but I do like the wider view.
