I did this sketch from a picture I saw in the local paper. It was group of children at a party. Two of them caught my eye: sister and brother staring up at a clown. They had such a delightful look, I just had to sketch them.

hi jeff.........."the wonder" shows me that you are a multi talented person. it must be fun to draw a picture and then photograph it. you did well on both counts. good worik. jen

What a beautiful sketch !! The soft gray lines, and the way you definitely show your artistic side..I have never been able to draw faces, so you are fortunate to be able to. I like how you captured the look on these childrens faces. Very nice indeed...verena

My part is to improve the present moment............
I've not been able to draw faces either until I found a clear book at the library that explained the technique. I'll have to go back and see if I can find it again for the title. This was one that I did for practice. One thing I learned is you need multiple pencils of different degrees of hardness to get the shades and a blending stick to get the smooth textures.
