This was taken at a wayside stop along Highway 1 as we were heading around Turnagain Arm going from Anchorage to Sewell. It was a strange week that we were there. They had more sunny days while we were there than they had the entire summer last year -- and we took good advantage of them!

Great composition. Not as crisp clear as I'd want, its a bit smudgy or out of focus to enjoy. Also a bit too dark in the bottom of the picture?

The bright sky tends to be the most dominate part of the image, I would have made the dark foreground and the mountains more the largest part of the image.

Just saw this in your gallery after viewing your Resurrection Pass image in the permanent photography gallery. Had to comment as I have several shots in my gallery of this same lake, which is Tern Lake on the Seward turnoff. One of my favorite spots to shoot pictures, so peaceful and serene there. Lots of swans in the water in the fall. So glad you enjoyed Alaska, it's my home and definitely God's country. Nice shot, btw!
