After a long, cold spring we had a weekend where the temperatures reached the 80's. It seemed as if all the flowers were trying to make up for lost time. Then, two days later, the temperatures dropped and we had SNOW in May! First time in 48 years. Nebraska is known for its variable weather, but I've about decided that if we ever have normal weather here, that would be abnormal.

Fine composition, Jeff. This one shows us that flowers sometimes are stronger than winter temperatures.

Same down here in Kansas, late frost got most of my tulips. My guess is that next we go straight in to the high summer temps.

The red in the white is so beautiful, tulips have to be tough. This photo shows how they stand up to the weather. Awesome photo.
