This year I took the last trail in Pickett State Park. It took me five years to walk all the trails because I was also running a camp for families at the same time. This particular walk was also special to me because I injured my back last November with severe effects on my right leg. For six months I exercised and trained to be able to hike again. I slid a few feet down a mountain and fell into a creek we waded across because my reflexes aren't what they used to be, but I had a marvelous time. One of the boys on the hike spotted this fellow on a shelf fungus, next to the path we were following.
