Wished I had a more interesting sky in this one, but it was overcast that day. Kind of goes with my mood at the moment -- had to put down my dog of 14.5 years this morning. Lots of great memories -- lots of sadness.
First of all I'm sorry to hear the sad news about your beloved dog. I totally understand what a loss it is. As for the capture of the maple tree, I think it looks good against the backdrop. tigs=^..^=
Oh, man, that's tough; they often become like our children. I hope you were able to be there looking into her/his eyes to let them know they weren't alone and were loved when the time came. As for the tree, I'm planting three of them in my backyard (to replace three elms that all dies at the same time of Dutch Elm) and it's nice to see one in subdued lighting. We made the choice of tree while hiking around Lake Itasca last year and it was bright sun. Your photo tells me we made the right choice no matter the lighting. Thanks, and my condolences again.

Those great memories will come to the forefront in time.
