A couple interesting facts about this plant: --that red leaf is just that, a colored leaf. The actual flowers on the anthurium (and there are many) are those tiny white nubs on the stamen tower... at least a hundred of them. --it grows very high in the canopy of jungle trees in Central America, and acquires its food and water by dropping a long main root all the way down to the jungle floor, sometimes as far as 100 feet! A nice capture, by the way. I've seen a number of these and have found the yellow tip on the stamen to be rather uncommon.
