Took a hike at the Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area, literally a few blocks from downtown Branson, Missouri. I managed to come away with a few good photos and clothes sopping wet from sweat.

I really enjoy the variety of colors of butterflies in the world; it's like looking at the fall foliage of a Sweet Gum tree. Now that I'm retired I'm working on a number of projects, in particular an 18' x 24' shop in my back yard that I plan to use for carpentry and ceramic sculpting. One of the carpentry projects I plan to build in the shop are butterfly houses, hoping to attract more of these gentle creatures to my yard.

Happy Trails

This swallowtail has a lot of blue tones, which makes me think it might be a Pipe Vine Swallowtail

It's a great shot amidst such interesting textures.
