Continuing my travelogue ... Down the center of the narrow peninsula, where Kuta is located, is a river. It ought to be idyllic, but it is extremely polluted. If you look at the left bank, you can also see many exposed cables. The building on the right is a restaurant.

One of these days the Earth will revolt and reject all who live upon it. Good photo Jeff.

With a population of 3,890,757 in the 2010 census, and 2,232 square miles, Bali has 1,743 citizens per square mile. That's a lot of people and the certain reason for the pollution. Having lived in the mid Pacific, not that far away from you, I know that their safety standards aren't quite what ours are. Nevertheless, this is a very interesting image and, if the landscape was cleaned up a little, possible with local flowers planted on those terraces on the right, that could make a pleasant restaurant a delightful one. Your photo does the current status justice.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
