A native North American orchid, also known as the moccasin flower. Found on a six-mile hike along the Rock River in Tennessee.

In my country they can be bought as houseplant, Jeff.
When translated the name is rather similar (in Dutch: pantoffeltjesplant).

I wasn't aware there were any native orchids here. The tack-sharp nature and perfectly filtered lighting of your photo, Jeff, definitely does this beauty justice.
