I love this shot and so to that end I am trying to be helpful...if this were mine, I would try to do something about the dead aspect under the main blossom. I think that I'd vignette it slightly to get rid of that very small distraction of light in the top right so as not to detract from that most beautiful of soft rose color in the flower....Excellent work.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
Nice shot you've captured of these roses. I love how you've focused the flower against the dark background and how the raindrops give these a nice touch. Well done! =)
"I decided that it was not wisdom that enabled [poets] to write their poetry, but a kind of instinct or inspiration, such as you find in seers and prophets who deliver all their sublime messages without knowing in the least what they mean."
--Socrates (in "Apology")
The droplets are wonderful, especially against such a soft pink.
