Hazy morning light, f/4.8@1/125s, ISO 280, Photoshoppery held to sizing and adding a faint. taupe-y border (that maybe should be fainter, depending on which monitor I try). The painterly qualities were the camera's idea. Thank you for clicking in to take a look.

Border looks fine on my monitor (CRT ... yeah, I know ... feel sorry for me or donate to my upgrade cause :oP).

Gorgeous colour palette, nicely exposed with very good clarity. (The painterly effect/qualities are not that noticeable to my eyes.)

And ... a good good composition. Really enjoying the DOF you employed, with a slight caveat to follow.

That being, the adjacent bloom looks a tad displaced.

And I am not sure how things would translate, visually, if you stopped down or used a wider DOF (hope I got this right, non-caffeinated here at the moment).

I know ... I'll leave that thought with you, the artist, as simply some food for thought. You know better than me, rest assured.

That nonsense of mine aside, and as always ... very good work, Leslie.

This viewer appreciates your inner eye and camera's images presented to us. Thank you for sharing them. :o)

Thank you both very much for the kind words!

Les, once I get my tripod, I'll be able to take your good advice. Shooting hand-held below 1/125s coax a deeper DOF mostly gets me fabulous examples of camera movement blur. With VR, I can ostensibly shoot hand-held at 1/80s, but that's like my ostensibly getting 30 mpg with the Honda. Sometimes yes and sometimes... >>delete<<

Hand-held?

(*leaves behind a couple of these ...*)

Yes, you earned a couple from my private reserves of baked good morsels.

The gas thing?

You're on your own.
