f/6.3 @ 1/100s ISO 250. I like working with narrow depths of field and can't always tell on my camera's display whether I've gotten the part of the plant I want in focus. Shooting monochromatic images didn't make me a genius with depth of field, but it pressured me to try harder because without the distraction of color, not quite hitting it was humiliatingly obvious to anyone who glances at the image (even me). This image is what I wanted and... eventually got. But it took several attempts. (Hmmmm.... I'm thinking I may need to alter the gamma on B&Ws for Caedes.net. This one on screen from the site is markedly grayer than the original opened right next to it on my monitor.)

Yes it is in focus, thank you! Especially at 1/100s. Ms Wobbles here rarely dares anything below 1/125 despite having a VR lens. Was probably bracing the camera on another photographer who was forbidden to breathe or fidget. Why do people go shooting with me only once?!?!?!?!?

Leslie - You did an excellent job. I like the lighting in this shot, emphasizing the gray tones. Thad

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine
