I am a real fan of black and white. This is almost a tarnished B&W, which is fitting of the title.
Good transitions and detail of the neck chain, that of a dog tag chain of the military. Humm!
A very deep and maybe a disturbing image suspect of the title.. Good photography though..

I can't help but take notice of the impact that your title has on the intrepretation of the visual you offer up.

The B & W presentation certainly heightens the emotive aspects of the shot.

Well composed ... and I do like the area in the left thirds that is completely immersed in shadows. Just beyond the perception of the focal subject, and in my mind ... ties in well with your concept.

Curious about the focus though ... as it does seem that the detail and clarity of the chain denotes that you purposely softened the actual profile somewhat?

Artistic licence? Perhaps?

I would have preferred a sharper delineation of the features. This may just rest with me ... as I view your image here ... I find my eyes deviating to the right. Think some sort of visual anchor is needed, and may be provided if the profile was a tad sharper ... to alleviate this.

Just some thoughts.

Interesting shot.

Experimentation is definitely good in my books. Hope you continue to push your creative boundaries and but of course, thank you for sharing your efforts on this one.

Was asked to comment, I can't say I like your title, but I do like your post. Very different and interesting, glad it is in b&w.

Interesting composition. As disturbing the title is, it actually fits the image. Dark, sinister and a little threatening.
