Sketch(ish) of my brother and his bass I made a few more custom brushes for this - having so much fun with PS right now! Hmm, not much else to say about this one - just another practice! And of course I used a ref for this...I wish I was better at drawing from imagination...copying is so much easier! Ah well, all in good time...comments and critiques welcome :) x x x

Wow, Fae ... incredible work.

A -gain.

:o)

On the run here, so have to forgive my brevity (for a change?)..

The only caveat ... and it is slight, is that of comparing the skin tone colourations of your bro's neck to that of his face. Maybe a lil' less red on the face/cheek area? Some, that is. Wouldn't wish to see the portrait become too monochromatic. The differentiation does bring him forward.

Might just be a personal preference, however, forging ahead ... given the background colour and the mood/feel that I perceive ... the olive (kind of, sort of) skin tone of the neck works better to my eyes. Somewhere in the middle then.

Still.. absolutely brilliant work.

Love the work you did on his eyes. Soooooo lifelike.

And but of course, thank you for sharing your creativity with us.

+favs for me.

A -gain.

Not being an art teacher, I can make no critical judgement of this work, but from my viewpoint it appears to be an excellent accomplishment. You have a remarkable gift. I hope it takes you many places. I have met this woman whose portraiture I believe to be compelling, though she uses oil and canvas and I think you have the potential to be this good too in your chosen art form.. I would have given you an 11 in the VB were that option available. Truly splendid work, Hannah.

I just had it in the VB and I agree with Cindy about the 11.
Magnificent Hannah.

Beautiful work with this sketch. Good details and colours, I like the softness in the image. My only complaint is the blockiness of the colours in the hair.
