This room was so stark and austere; it was at once forbidding and inviting. What were the thoughts as they slipped slowly to sleep, staring to the ceiling? Had they made lifelong friends among themselves?

Love the photo! Theres a lovely range of tones throughout the image, and in my opinion you captured the feeling of this room well...
