I only see HDR ... what it does. I haven't used it at all. Looks like this is a philosophy answer...in general, it seems like HDR gives and takes. You can see much more detail, but often, the overall look is too unnatural for me...although I have seen some HDR that is quite good. Maybe less is more? Or knowing when to use it to produce a killer photo? Since I like that completely natural look, with detail fading in the distance, I'm probably not the right person to ask...many people here use HDR.
Raphael, I think the foreground up to and including the mountain range came out rather nicely. Great reflections in the lake. However, for what you gained with HDR with the lake and mountain range, you may have lost with the sky.
By the way, I have a folder with nothing but my shots of different skies, which I have used as replacement skies for photos wanting and needing a better "heaven."
It would have been nice to see the original for a comparison.
As with your other posts, your composition is strong and very interesting. I like the plants on the left and right sides of the base. Best wishes, my friend, as you continue your work with the HDR.
