Empty stomach and an empty life!

Shunned by the mother because he is now old enough to care for himself but he is unable to compete with the bigger ones. Therefore he remains undernourished.

Raj, think a consequence of the natural laws is that only the strongest will survive in order to preserve the species. Terrible, and heartbreaking, but from natural perspective very real.
Thanks for this touching image, my friend.
Regards, Cornelius.

Looks like a good contest entry to me Raj. He looks as empty as empty gets. Lots of emotion in this shot.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . It is a good capture of the little one's expression... such a difference from the usual confident look of older, fitter and happier creatures.
