A houseboat passing a small island in the backwaters. Backwaters are areas where the sea has made large inlets into the shore. Good waters for fishing and for sightseeing on such boats.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
It looks like a giant gondola, the front third appears to be a lounging porch. The inclusion of the man sitting out near the bow gives us a great perspective on the size, big enough for a small to moderate family. I don't see a chimney for cooking--probably a good thing since hot cinders could start the reed covering to catch fire--but I do see an air conditioner on that wall at the stern. They must have a generator on board. God capture.
