An Old photo which I took long ago. I'll not be posting here for some time. Yesterday I lost all my photos(about 3000) on my PC. I have had computers since 22 years. This is the first time I had such a problem. I was trying to shift my photos from drive "C" to another drive when it happened.

Raj, if your photographs are really lost, it would be a disaster.
However, I think they have not definitively disappeared. With the Recuva freeware program you can try to recover the photographs. I have good experiences with that. If you are not familiar with recovery programs, it's better to seek the help of an expert.
In order to avoid such an annoying experience, I installed a second external HD (E-drive) which is an exact copy of the copy containing all my photographs (D-drive).
I hope you will have success.

Great shot Raj. I feel for you with your loss. I too have had similar problems. I was able to recover some. I used to put them on disc until the backup external drives became reasonable and hold so much information. Trouble is I had an external backup go bad. I had to get another. Computers can be very exasperating for sure.
Good luck to you.

Love the photo.
So sorry you have this problem. I endorse Cornelius's advice -Recuva is a very good program if the images have actually been deleted. Try not to do too much on the computer until you have searched. Hopefully the folders are perhaps 'mislaid' and need to have show hidden files clicked on. With that number of precious photos I would be calling in the experts.
They will still be on your hard drive even if deleted UNTIL new data overwrites them so they can be recovered with a recovery program until then.
Easus is another good program that will allow you to recover up to 2GB free.

It deals with different data loss situations including Partition recovery.
Good Luck Raj

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Sorry about the problem Raj - I lost a whole file yesterday but was able to quickly recover it so I sympathize - I agree with the suggestions above and really like this wonderful shot.

I really enjoy this photo, Raj. My sympathies for the computer disaster. I have used freeware recovery software in the past and it was fairly successful even after years of lost files...of course the sooner you recover the percentage of recovery is much higher. It taught me to back up files more often. With cheaper external drives, etc...the process is pretty easy.

I like the coloring in this one for sure, and I'm going to check out that link that Mr. C. has given. So sorry Raj.
