ooo...I get to comment first...I'm usually late to the party :( First of all, I love your title and the way you've carried through with the theme as we climb the stairs and get to step on the fallen...have to imagine they're dry and crunchy underfoot...leaves. Now since I have to go by your profile and assume that we are now in the middle of nowhere...perhaps you are north of where I live, which as everyone already knows about me is in northern NE. Soo....I'm experiencing a little of this advanced foliage fall and have my eye on the rake in the garage already :( ...but..wait..let me first adjust this composition a little down to the left..there.now it's straight as to horizon..that works.. since you are in the middle of nowhere I'm going to have to trust your eye and enjoy your changing leaves on the left and the contrasting evergreens on the right...an interesting combo with the dead leaves caught in her everlastingly green hair...but I have to comment that the aspect up in the corner on the right...sad to say..really needs to be cleaned, cloned, or greened up in order to make this a much more appealing desktop...they are not changing...well they are, but they're dying :( I see a lot of potential in this photo with very little and easy polishing..the concept is deep and well executed from an artistic point of view .... a thoughtful post :)PJ

This deserves a heck of a lot more than an index of 11! I don't know who is voting on these images, but some really fine shots are getting the short shrift in my opinion. This is an evocative shot and should rank much higher.
