I very much like the combination of shapes, lines, textures along with the tone and color contrasts in this. The somewhat slanting sunlight was very effective in adding dimension. Good job on balancing exposure between highlights and shadows, too. The only distraction to my eyes is the small strip of the photo below the base of the railing.
This is an excellent capture, especially because of the light. I agree with Mike about the clutter along the bottom. You can easily clean up the boats by cloning over them with brick or concrete. In any case, well done!
This is something I would see in New Orleans for sure...and this is a great shot..of lots of textures for sure..and of course the wrought iron is great always...and the shadows just make it all the better. I like how close your cropped this photo...filling the whole frame, and then adding the black frame around it, it definitely shows it off very well....verena
