This is a view just left of the other picture - Gate Sunrise - different morning though. I used to get up early, the benefit being great sunrises.

that must have been an amazing view (to see in real^^). Trees blending in a red moning light. never get tired of these kind of shot. the bottom of the pic is a bit too dark put it's not so disturbing and don't unbalance the pic too much. I wonder, though if it wouldn't work better with horizontal border ? to have more focus on the trees... Just a thought...

Very nice. I love the bottom, how it's just about the same height as the sky; and the middle is accented by the gradient with those 2 lines of contrast.

I would agree with Lucy(Cain) about the border Idea. Perhaps just lower the picture and add a border to the top to compensate. It would probably do wonders. I love the reds here though, beautiful capture :)

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

I love a good mystery and this image surely qualifies for that category. The composition is such that it lends itself to that feeling. VERY well done and very high marks from me. This will go on a laptop that I use with my in-focus projector for showing digital images. Thanks.

I give this top marks for atmosphere; the color contrast in the sky is very lovely, with the light coming in from the right. Looks like it could be the African Savannah, but I'm probably wrong.

Simply put, this is a beautiful shot. Sometimes it is hard to capture the majesty of a scene as if you were there but you have done it. Very nice work.

This came thru the voting booth today and I sure love this photo. The softness is fantastic and the whole scene and colour is magnificient. The trees are such a great focal point here...and one can sit here and dream the day away. ITs just lovely..verena
