What a beautiful capture Patty. The colors and lighting are just great and I especially like seeing the detail on the leaves in the background as well. Great capture here and straight to downloads :) Thanks for sharing this beauty. Anita

I am still extremely busy with projects but hopefully things should slow down by the end of the summer. Please know that I appreciate you all and will stop by and visit your images as often as I can. My best to all my friends. Sincerely, Carrie

It's such a delicate flower. I wonder, along with cynlee, if it is a tropical flower. Very pretty.

It's a delicate color, a dainty shape, and I can almost smell its heavy perfume. Together with the exotic leaves in the background, it has a sort of Polynesian look; or it reminds me of Hawaii and makes me wish I were there.n Those dark leaves are the perfect backdrop for the light blossom, too. The angle and the composition are lovely and suit the subject.

My electricity went out yesterday in this unbearable heat so I couldn't answer the question - yes, this tropical flower usually grows in Hawaii but I captured this one in Texas. Thanks everyone for your kind notes! - Patty

So good. Beautiful, exotic plant with a solid, uncluttered backdrop. I like the angle on it too, not full on, but tilted just enough so that you can see the way the petals overlap as they turn toward the center.

What an amazing photo this is!! Talk about clear and bright and just perfect in every way. The colours are so wonderful, and the little shadows caused by the petals...wow.I love the red stems and then the way you clearly got the lines of the leaves...its a truly wonderful photo. I really want to congratulate you on this.I just set this photo as my desktop wallpaper, and it is just sooooo lovely..thank you so very much.. I look forward to seeing more of your photography very soon...verena
