It's magnificant Patty. Well done and I can't believe it's the first. You are certainly an artist. He's crystal clear, the composition is lovely with that lovely flower in the background and the lighting is perfection. Excellent post and thanks for sharing him. Congrats on the first :)

Do me a favor Patty ... DON'T MAKE THIS YOUR LAST! Simply gorgeous to look at. A beautiful butterfly ... lovely flower and a soft blurred background to set it off. Great post.

This is so perfect! Color and clarity are amazing. I like the comp too and the way the flower and the butterfly are so perfectly color co-ordinated. It makes a lovely desktop.
Thank you Patty!
I like your new avitar! It's nice to see the person behind the art.

Why does everyone have such a difficult time giving a frank appraisal?? This is an excellent first effort, but it's not an "A+" and it's not "crystal clear". C'mon! Patty's a big girl and I'm sure she can take it. These butterflies are hard as heck to capture, as anyone knows who's tried. In this case, because she wasn't directly behind it, the right wing is in a slightly different plane than the left wing, so it's a bit blurry. And it would have been nice to get the butterfly and that little patch of flowers more properly centered. There, was that so difficult? Is Patty upset because I pointed out two areas that could have been improved? I'll bet she isn't.

Patty, you captured this butterfly perfectly. Beautiful colors & amazing detail. I have been trying to get a shot of a butterfly for years & years, but right when I get ready to snap they flutter off. I guess my butterflies are camera shy. Excellent work.
