Taken just tonight from my driveway ... this gracious balloon pilot saw me trying to photograph him so he came as low as he could. This is for him and for all free spirits everywhere. Thanks in advance - Patty
Well, how bout that? That is way cool...from your driveway no less. What a greap deep, dark blue sky. Beautiful balloon colors and perfectly focused.
Love it.

Beautiful colors against that blue sky! Perhaps the next time he comes by you could convince him to pick you up for some aerial shots. (Mirto proceeds to Ebay to check prices on the Canon Rebel....).

What a neat capture of this balloon Patty. It is even more special since the pilot noticed your effort to photograph his balloon and made a conscious effort to help you out by lowering himself a bit. The sky looks so blue and is quite complimentary to the colors of the balloon itself. I especially like how the flame is visible shooting from the basket. Great color, excellent clarity, high quality and nice composition. Thanks for sharing this with me ;=)
Fantastic capture, Patty - even the flames are visible! Must have been very thrilling to see this photo on-screen and so perfect! There is a lovely feeling of expanse and freedom to this picture!

Magnificent capture Patty, just perfect in all respects. Thank you for this. It brings back memories of a ride I had in one once. If I had not been so pertrified - of the height and the flames -I am sure I would have enjoyed it lol
BEAUTIFUL shot Patty! The colors in this are Fantastic!! Balloons are always fun to photograph, but the colors in this are definitely make this one. Great job.

Not exactly your every day occurence and ... BOY ! ... did you ever take advantage this "photo op". First rate capture and one for my favorites to be sure. Nice goin' Patty.
Awesome shot! Wow. It will make a great desktop, too. I like the fact that the pic is too big for my screen, so when I have it up and I move my mouse, the balloon flies all over the desktop. Really cool.
What beautiful colors! The blues in the balloon and the sky are amazing and all is so clear and vivid. How neat that he saw you and came down to say hello.

I agree with all above, and I also thought as I was enjoying this view that it's amazing that the blues of the balloon sit so well on the blue of the sky and don't disappear altogether. It's like it was made to settle where it is and still stand out to make this one of the prettiest balloon shots I've ever seen, in pics or in "real"...thanks for this one ;)PJ .........oh, and thanks to the anonymous balloon operater for being so cooperative, but I suppose if I had a contrivance that beautiful, I wouldn't mind sharing its beauty :)
How kind of the pilot. And didn't you try to join the balloon crew? We would have some picturesque bird's eye captures... Anyway,so great you shared it with us. The balloon stands out so well against the cristal clear sky.

This is absolutely fantastic! What a shot you've taken! The colors are so vivid and full of life. Perfectly named too. I love the simplicity of the composition - it looks amazing on the DT. Thanks so much for this Patty.
Love it.
