This is a Tawny Eagle. This is a large eagle with tawny upperparts and blackish flight feathers and tail. The lower back is very pale.It breeds in most of Africa both north and south of the Sahara Desert and across tropical southwestern Asia to India. This one is on display at the wildlife sanctuary near St. Louis. It cannot be released because it is not native to the USA.

Very majestic image with great colors. A bit of a DOF issue around the eagles head but I can live with it. Nice post -
