This picture was taken in Missouri Botanical Gardens. Bamboo sprout fountains originated in Japan. They were originally used as decorative and meditative elements for the temples and shrines. People of Japan consider bamboo very valuable. Bamboo's abilities to defy unpleasant conditions has granted it a lot of importance in Japanese culture. Bamboo is applied in various forms of arts, crafts, and building-constructions. Bamboo water fountains have attained singular spot in Japanese civilization because of its reverend and transcendental meaning
