Pink tinted blossoms on this Japanese Dogwood were in direct sunlight. Shaded blossoms on the same tree were pure white. Taken during the Caedes gathering in Missouri Botanical Gardens.

I like the informative description. I didn't know that sun exposure could effect blossom coloring.
