In days preceeding poured concrete quarried stone and the talents of Masons were used for ornate and event simple structures. This simple conduit made with once common and now scarce talents. Can you hear the brook? Shhh... ◊click◊

He's baaaccckkk!
Nice to see you on Caedes again. This is a wonderful image. It seems that you have covered the full dynamic range of densities, from max. black to max. white. I rarely see an image on Caedes that hasn't blown out the highlights when tackling this great of a SBR (Scene Brightness Range). You sir have nailed the exposure. The color is perfect! As you may be aware, I loath blue snow. I also do not llike gray snow that comes from using an automatic exposure system.Once again you have nailed the color balance as one of the best that I have seen on this site in a long time. The neutral shadows in the snow and on the bridge is a testimony to your care to create an image as close to the natural surroundings as possible. Once again you have achieved that challenge. I am willing to say that I believe that this is your finest image that you have posted on Caedes to date. Well done!

Oh by the way,... I like the composition too.

Yikes.. that is high praise for a simple image. I'm glad that you enjoyed it and more glad for your advice on earlier images that helped me to position this one. I remain grateful.

Brrrr, but a fantastic image! The white is perfect in this image I agree.
I do however still like the playful duotones, and blues for snow, lol.

I agree with the others who've written ahead of me. Nice work. Nice composition and lighting. The tracks in the snow make a good center of interest.
