They didn't have much of an imagination for color in those days did they? Black or silver was pretty much it... with a logo in red if you're lucky! Can't say I ever used one of these, but I do remember having an old one in the toy box!

Believe it or not...I find my two first cameras here...My first shot (1958) came from a "box camera", like the black one in the center. Half of that image is covered with my own shadow and in the distance you can see my father and mother...hope to find it and post it..lol..The second camera I used was the Kodak Instamatic (down to the right) in the early 60s. Now you were able to get colors on your (dreadful) photos...thrilling..! Nice memories...
Thanks for sharing, Rob !

I too join in the memories of my old Brownie. My first. I cherished it. Still have many of the old black and white completely square pictures from it and I don't think I'm "over" it disappearing in a yard sale. ;( Bet it's still working!

Great collection and for me a desktop. Mine's not here though, Don't remember what it was called but it folded flat and poped open with a catch, untill the catch broke. It was covered in this brown leatherette material.

Thats great, all those film sizes..but nope I cant even remember half of those..but I DO have all sorts of cameras thanx to my dear ol' Dad..who suddenly a few years ago sent me all his "ancient" cameras...most of them dont work...but they are interesting to have I guess. I even have an old "Brownie" now...all this has been SUCH fun..to go back..and to see photos.
