Another shot from the Niagara Falls series. Here looking over the crest of the Horseshoe Falls. The water going over the crest is between 2 and 3' deep. While the picture may capture the visual, it would be hard do describe the thunderous sound of the water falling.

I still remember. I like this composition a bit better than even the last one. Going to my HD
Would I be pushing it to ask if you got any of those fantastic rainbow lit night shots?

Hey Guys ! ...thanks for your kind comments. Sorry BJB .. no night shots. I was just there for a meeting and I stopped and took the shots before heading home (about 90 minutes west). I do have some natural rainbow shots coming though! Stay tuned.

I like this close-up of the falls too. I feel like Iดm standing there, listening to the tremendous sound, a bit frightened of taking a wrong step.

Another awesome shot of the work of Nature. I agree with you that nothing can duplicate the thunderous sound of the water rushing over the falls. This has been a great series so far Rob.....thanks for posting it. It brings back some great memories :~)

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

Rob, your series on the falls is among the best I have ever seen. They are truly beautiful. You have re-awakened my passion for this subject.

Verena, I was standing safe and sound on table rock ... where the crest of the Horseshoe Falls touches land. Safely surrounded by a 4' stone wall and thousands of tourists trying to get the same shot I was. ;) I had to crop out the intruding shoulder of a less than courteous fellow photographer!

Bill .. thank you for your kind words. I'm humbled.

ob, this is even better than Series 4. The motion, energy and composition all work to make an image any photographer would be happy to claim. 10 again.
